Environment Week Activities: All Communities

May 27th to June 3rd

Watch for the following activities which will be held throughout Environment week:

Recycling Depot Tours- Monday to Saturday, enjoy tours of the Edson or Hinton Recycle Depots for small or large groups. Call EDRS office to arrange a tour.

Evergreen Theatre- In Hinton, Edson, Fulham, Niton and Wildwood, the Evergreen Theatre will be performing Princess Prudence and the Fairest in the Land. This is a story about the things we buy, where it comes from, where it goes and how kids can make a difference. This event is taking place May 21,27,28,29 and 30th.

Bike/ Walk to School or Work- For the 7th year, schools will record the number of students and staff who bike, walk or do a predetermined environmental activity each day. Daily results will be posted to schools to build the excitement. Various giveaways and prizes will be presented to each school such as a bike and helmet as well as the grande prize of a school wide pizza party for the winning school!

Senior’s Day- In Edson, seniors can enjoy snacks and company while they have their recyclables sorted for them.This event is taking place throughout the week of May 27th and June 3rd.

Commuter Challenge- Challenging adults in Edson and Hinton to walk/ bike to work or to do errands.
